About Us
The India Catholic Association (ICA) of South East Michigan is a non-profit organization composed of Asian-Indians who are primarily Roman Catholic. The ICA was formed in 1977.
The ICA of South East Michigan, currently comprised of more than 200 active members, attempts to preserve this unique culture and heritage among our members and the generations to come.
The ICA has no political affiliations either in the U.S. or in India. Anyone is welcome to join.
The purpose of this organization is to:
To provide an organized opportunity to members of the Christian community from the Indian Sub-Continent now resident in Southeastern Michigan to participate in religious and cultural functions.
To promote better communication and develop a spirit of mutual cooperation among members of the Association.
To participate in activities with individuals, groups, and organizations to further the welfare of the Association.
To make donations to religious, educational, and other charitable organizations.Â
To promote mutual understanding and acceptance of the beliefs and traditions of members of other religious and cultural groups.
