ICA is proud to be supporting and partnering with the following non-profits for the year 2013

  • Habitat for Humanity (H4H) is an international, non-profit, Christian-based organization whose mission is to provide low-income families with decent, affordable housing in which they can raise their families. The organization was founded by Millard and Linda Fuller in 1977. At the Detroit local level, H4H volunteers help in new build, renovations, and neighbourhood cleanups supervised by a H4H appointed House Leader. For 2013, The ICA is partnering with H4H Oakland County on a couple of group events. Plans are to gather 8-10 or more volunteers per event on a weekend (Sat).

To register, log in by May 12th on the H4H website and check the group association with - India Catholic Association - SE Michigan under My Info | My Profile.
To proceed with the registering and construction signing, please click on: Register to volunteer

Once you open an account above, Habitat will email our group a week before with details of the work needed – e.g. lunch hospitality (2 persons), painting, yard work, siding, repair, rebuild, etc. Home site locations include Madison, Waterford, Pontiac, and surrounding areas. This is a great opportunity for parent-teen teams; however the minimum age for safety reasons is 14+ years old.

If interested please contact or Urban De Souza at 248-558-9854/ For any questions on Habitat contact Kim Howard at 248-338-1843 x236 or
